Composition: Upcycled linen-blend 60% linen - 40% cotton / silk bias-binding / waterbased textile marker

Circle 1.0 dress is constructed with long sleeves and knee-length skirt. The dress is lined with main fabric and all hems and seams are covered with silk bias tape.

The dress fits gently around the body and is closed by an invisible zip in the center back. The dress has extra seam allowances which give the possibility of adjustment of the garment to an individual fit. Furthermore, the dress comes with thin detachable underarm pads which can be taken out and washed separately, making it possible to avoid overwashing, which has a negative environmental impact as well as being hard on the garment.

The inspiration and relevance come from the ambition to create a new, size-flexible garment system, that will infuse the fashion system with applied sustainability and creative longevity. Circle 1.0 dress marks the starting point of this creative research and is visualized through the style of the dress, reminiscing a well-fitted basic dress block and the hand-drawn lines upon it, that indicates grading lines, anthropometric data and sizing systems.
